Enchanté Baroque IV:
Of Myth and Man

Enchanté Baroque is a mini-series within the Concerts Enchanté 2026-2027 concert season, curated by Suren Barry. Closing Enchanté Baroque, we feature a program inspired by Mythology.  Mythology – stories of gods and their interactions with the mortal world – is a constant throughline within Baroque music, from grand opera plots to more humble folk songs. In this program, the multi-talented Thomas Baëte (viola da gamba) and Suren Barry (harpsichord) explore these mythical stories through song and instrument, showcasing some of the most central mythological themes to the Baroque ethos. Featuring works by Locke, Rameau, Caccini, and some clever arranging by Thomas and Suren.
