CC Duo: Lyrique

Adam Cicchillitti and Steve Cowan, CC Duo, have set a benchmark in the classical guitar world with their award-winning recordings, major orchestral commissions and competition performances. They are second (2023) and third (2021) prizewinners in the Guitar Foundation of America’s International Competition, arguably the world’s most prestigious guitar ensemble competition.  In this show, they will present highlights from their award-winning album Lyrique. The program includes original arrangements of works by Grieg, Ravel, Tailleferre, and Cage, alongside vibrant Spanish classics.  From beautiful, intimate melodies to energetic and virtuosic pieces, CC Duo explores the many colours and possibilities of the guitar. A fresh and engaging program that invites audiences to hear familiar music in a whole new way.
